Kai lets out a little laugh, shaking his head. "I'm fine, you don't need to try and make me feel better," he says, a bit wryly. Because surely it's teasing and curiosity driving this forward more than anything? He doesn't want to get his hopes up over something so impossible. Bashasa sees things very different from most of his kin, but it can't be that different, no matter how much he'd hope it might be. Right?
